​畢業於為國立臺灣藝術大學多媒體動畫藝術學系新媒體藝術碩士，創作主題多關注於土地變化、文明建構與自然生態關係，擅長將作品融入植物景觀、視覺設計、3D動畫、影像後製及新媒體技術，結合場所空間與植物場域來傳達藝術觀念。長期關注環境的更迭現象，以及植物在非自然狀態下的生長樣貌，透過這兩種客觀的媒介物，作為創作思考延伸，進而反映出個人內在情感與潛藏的意識流動。

經由空間視覺的扁平化構圖，使建構結構體的交疊時間與錯置意象，跳脫三維面向的思考觀點，彰顯人類棲居環境的日常理想與侷限。將凝結的影像與人造物材轉化為一體，重新闡述結構體場域的生長及存在，傳遞人與空間、自然媒介相互交織依存的未知共融現象，展開當代社會之都市結構的地誌想像。​     

Chen Chia Yi  graduated from the National Taiwan University of the Arts with a Master in New Media Arts from the Department of Multimedia Animation Art. Her creative themes focus on land change, the construction of civilization, and the relationship between natural ecology. Technology, combining place space and plant fields to convey artistic concepts.She has always been concerned about the phenomenon of environmental change and the growth of plants in an unnatural situation.

She uses two kinds of objective media, artificial landscapes and construction site objects, which are seen as the extension of creative thinking, to reflect personal inner feelings and hidden conscious flow. Chen Chia Yi projects her childhood memories on the construction site. Through the fusion of the real and illusion of space-time, she creates a heterotopia that comparing the present and the past. She deliberately puts artificial plants in this space altering it into a man-made landscape for audience to move around, and by doing so referring to the geographical imagination of today’s construction site and tomorrow’s ruin.
